Growing up in a small town (Lake City) in Southeast Minnesota, I spent a lot of my youth outdoors and always enjoyed seeing wildlife. The thought of photographing animals always seemed like a dream that was a great idea, but would probably never happen. But when I was approaching retirement, Cheryl surprised me with a Sony DSLR camera for my birthday and started me on my journey.  As we began checking locations off of our travel bucket list, this was a perfect platform for me to play with my interest in wildlife photography. On a trip to Alaska, we took a floatplane to Katmai National Park to view grizzly bears and while there we saw a female grizzly with two cubs that were playing in a grassland, with a white wolf on the hill overlooking them (on the left side of the image above). It was the money shot, a once in a lifetime experience!  I remember turning to Cheryl and saying, I need a bigger lens, I was hooked!  In 2017 I upgraded to a Nikon camera, bigger lenses, and began the journey to become a better photographer. Since then, we’ve been enjoying our travels and have seen an unbelievable variety of animals all over the world. My childhood dreams have come true!I’m honored that you came to the website to see a sampling of what we’ve seen, and where we’ve been. We’ve had fun, and learned a lot while traveling the world, and I believe that the best is yet to come!
